Hang Seng eyes Zhongshan's HK enterprises
Hang Seng Bank officially opened its sub-branch in Zhongshan, Guangdong province.
The new sub-branch offers comprehensive banking services for both business and personal customers. A full suite of financial solutions are available for different types of companies, while personal customers can enjoy one-stop wealth management services in the comfortable environment of the spacious Prestige Banking centre.
With the establishment of the Zhongshan sub-branch under Supplement VI to the Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement, Hang Seng China has further extended its network to offer more potential customers the opportunity to benefit from the Bank’s professional banking services.
"Hang Seng is committed to long-term business development in mainland China. In 2009, Hang Seng China saw stable business growth with a 25.2 percent expansion in the number of Mainland Prestige Banking accounts and a 10.9 percent increase in the number of Mainland commercial customers. Hang Seng will continue to invest in its Mainland operations and further enhance awareness of its brand in this important market to attract more customers," said Mrs. Dorothy Sit, Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive of Hang Seng Bank (China) Limited.
According to Mrs. Sit, there is growing demand for financial services in the city due to the presence of a large number of Hong Kong enterprises and high-quality small and medium-sized companies, as well as the improving standard of living.
"Advantageously positioned in the Pearl River Delta region and with an export-oriented economy, Zhongshan has excellent potential for continuing economic development," she explained.
