HSBC can’t get enough of Hanoi
HSBC will double its network in Hanoi to four outlets, in addition to its headquarters branch in Ho Chi Minh City.
The two transaction offices are in Hoan Kiem which officially opened on 28 April, and that in Phan Chu Trinh which will be inaugurated on 6 May. These two offices followed the inauguration of the Tay Ho Transaction Office, also in Hanoi, last 22 April.
Thomas Tobin, Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Bank Vietnam Ltd., said: "Now HSBC has four prominent outlets for customers in Vietnam’s capital city – our flagship branch at Pacific Place and three transaction offices in the heart of Hanoi. All feature the latest contemporary in-store design and technologically advanced banking facilities."
The Hoan Kiem Transaction Office at Asia Tower, 6 Nha Tho Street covers 106 square metres on the ground floor. The Phan Chu Trinh Transaction Office at the Sun Red River building, 23 Phan Chu Trinh, Hoan Kiem District covers 241 square metres on the ground floor with a further 301 square metres of first floor space.
The Bank's plan is to extend its distribution reach with three more transaction offices to be opened in Ho Chi Minh City in the coming weeks.
With its three new outlets in Tay Ho, Hoan Kiem and Phan Chu Trinh, HSBC is the first and only wholly foreign-owned bank in Vietnam with both branches and transaction offices.
