Paybooc app named User Experience of the Year in the 2021 Asian Experience Awards

BC Card’s contactless and seamless payment service won a User Experience award in the Payment category.

BC Card, South Korea's biggest payment processing company, has received the Asian Experience Award in the Payments category for its contactless payment service, Paybooc.

Presented by the Asian Business Review, the first-ever Asian Experience Awards aims to recognise unique, standout, or innovative experience initiatives of creative companies and their meaningful effects on their stakeholders.

BC card provides end-to-end payment services including acquiring, local network operation, card issuing, and mobile payment solutions primarily to financial institutions, as well as to merchants. This year, BC Card updated the digital payment app, Paybooc, which aims to provide users with a simple and seamless payment experience.

With the user's fast-paced lifestyle in mind, Paybooc provides an intuitive and organic payment experience, from payment to management of usage details to receiving payment benefits. It delivers convenience to the user by reducing steps for payment, supporting various device types and providing cross-border payment.

Social distancing and contactless measures were accelerated by the pandemic. With just a press of a “pay” button on the Paybooc home screen, the one-touch payment feature allows users—even those abroad—to make non-contact QR payments. Checkouts are made more seamless as discounts are automatically applied and the entire process takes less than 10 seconds. Discount information and benefits related to the payment history is also readily available in the e-receipt, helping Paybooc create organic connections with its users and ensuring repeat customers.

In line with the goal of offering a seamless payment experience, Paybooc has eliminated all restrictions in the payment process. Users can make payments with any device they have, be it a smartphone, smartwatch, or tablet. The Paybooc app also provides users with a contactless card issuance service, making it even more accessible to users to fit their changing needs.

Paybooc extends its convenient features with a card-centric management system that is designed to store several cards such as prepaid card, credit card, paybooc money, etc. in one app. This simplifies the payment process from payment to payment management and allows the user to select their chosen payment method. With this payment management feature, users are able to streamline their payments, giving them an organised and convenient experience.

Reduced steps, flexible device access, and cross-border payment experience with strengthened security all contribute to BC Card’s goal of providing a simple and seamless experience. With innovations like Paybooc, BC Card continues to fulfill the promise of impeccable payment services to its 10 million users.
