Prudential Laos named Lao Employee Experience of the Year - Life Insurance by The Asian Experience Awards 2021

Prudential Life Assurance Lao Company Limited (“Prudential Laos”) is pleased to be named “Laos Employee Experience of the Year - Life Insurance” by The Asian Experience Awards 2021. 

The company was recognised for its learning and development initiatives for its employees which supported a working culture of collaboration, openness, empowerment, innovation, learning, and respect. This includes flexible work arrangements which helps increase productivity as employees are allowed to work in their own comfortable space.

The Award also recognized Prudential’s Founder Mentality Program which was launched in December 2020. This is to promote agile working mindset and apply New Way of Working in their work at Prudential. The main goal for this project is to get employees into having an owner’s mindset so they can understand and articulate the bold mission of thinking out of the box strategies, focusing more on customer-friendly centricity. The key learning focus is to learn “fail fast and move fast” whilst empowering innovation and creativity through learning and experiments.

According to the company, these initiatives were rolled out to introduce and embed the theme of “Connect, Grow, and Succeed” to support their employees during the pandemic. This is also to ensure their successful growth through mobility, wellness programs, and flexible arrangements.

Amongst its key achievements include introducing the agile working and founder mentality across the organisation and promotion of empowerment and celebration of innovation, collaboration and creative ideas across the organization. Apart from completing within 72 hours the project to support the Lao community during the pandemic, also remarkable is the promotion of diversity and inclusion in creating a sense of belongingness across the organization.”
