PTT Exploration and Production takes home Thailand Employee Engagement of the Year - Oil & Gas
The initiatives it has introduced aim to reduce work-related stress and promote collaboration.
National petroleum exploration and production company PTT Exploration and Production (PTTEP) took home the win in the Thailand Employee Engagement of the Year - Oil & Gas category at the inaugural Asian Management Excellence Awards for its milestone in fostering a positive employee experience and in focusing on employee wellbeing.
The company has consistently introduced numerous activities, benefits, policies, and development programmes that aim to enforce this objective within the organisation.
This includes a Financial Consultants Programme that allows employees to seek advice and manage their finances effectively through initiatives like money clinics, money planning workshops, and long-term money planning consultations. The company also introduced a hybrid workplace policy that enabled a flexible work setup with the support of digital tools.
Moreover, PTTEP also offers development programmes for managers to enhance employee engagement, as well as to equip managers with coaching and feedback skills to foster collaboration amongst leadership. Company CEO Montri Rawanchaikul also conducts CEO’s Talk sessions, which serve as a platform to communicate the company’s direction and strategy and address employee concerns.
In line with its commitment to diversity and inclusion, the company also conducts regular employee engagement surveys to collect valuable feedback for driving organisation-wide improvements, ensuring that every individual’s voice is heard and valued.
Meanwhile, PTTEP has also introduced the Joyful Life programme to reduce work-related stress and promote collaboration amongst employees.
As part of this undertaking, the company held physical and online concerns quarterly for employees. It also offered online consultations and mental health broadcasts through its Sabaijaidee mental health programme. Sabaijaidee programme offered psychological services for employees and their family members to cope with any issues that may cause them stress anytime, anywhere.
PTTEP also launched its Fit Firm Fun programme, which encouraged employees to take good care of their physical health in a convenient and enjoyable way. They can use the innovative and fun mobile application NextCercise to track their burned calories and redeem them for attractive prizes.
It is going to donate funds to local hospitals and foundations based on their cumulative movement data from NextCercise to support a healthy society with healthy employees. “These programmes are not only beneficial for our employees and their families but also for the company and the society. We believe that when our staff are happy and healthy, they can perform better and make a difference,” PTTEP said.
