Westpac improves online trading platform

iPhone, iPod Touch and HTC Dream users can keep track of investments wherever they are.

From $600 worth of free brokerage to mobile trading, Westpac Securities has upgraded its online investing platform to give customers access to better investment and equity trading opportunities.

Customers will be able to use a mobile trading platform that allows them to take advantage of market movements wherever they are, and an interactive profiling tool.

New customers will also be able to tap $600 worth of free brokerage.

Designed for mobile devices including the iPhone, iPod Touch and HTC Dream, customers using it will be able to track their investments at any time.

The site has also launched Share Packs designed for investors looking for an affordable way to purchase a diversified portfolio of securities through either Australian Share Packs or International ETF Share Packs.

These new features will be complemented by more upgrades later in the year including new ways to gain access to international markets through shares and CFD's.
