StanChart names Peter Heidinger as global head of Financial Institutions
The former Citigroup's Private Bank head of investment finance in Asia Pacific will be responsible for deepening relations with the bank's important financial and government institutional clients.
Standard Chartered has appointed Peter Heidinger as global head of Financial Institutions (FI).
Heidinger will be based in Singapore and report to the bank's group head of Origination and Client Coverage, Sean Wallace.
In this role, Heidinger will be responsible for deepening relations with the bank's important financial and government institutional clients. He will also be responsible to drive the execution of Standard Chartered's client-focused strategy in this segment.
Wallace said Peter's more than 20 years in corporate banking and finance includes extensive experience in the FI space. His wide industry experience and knowledge of Asia will contribute significantly to the continued growth of Standard Chartered's FI business globally.
Heidinger joins Standard Chartered from Citigroup, where he was most recently head of investment finance, Asia Pacific for Citigroup's Private Bank.
From 2004 - 2009, he was responsible for Financial Institutions coverage for Citigroup in Asia Pacific. He joined Citigroup in 1998 as a senior banker based in London responsible for Insurance and Fund Manager Coverage.
